Brokkly Software and Activities

Introduction

BROKKLY is a visual programming editor for Ibtikar Maker Pro and SciTech Kits based on Google Blockly. It uses interlocking, graphical blocks to represent code concepts like variables, logical expressions, loops, and more in a visual way, avoiding the need to manually type code syntax. BROKKLY allows you to apply programming principles without having to worry about syntax.

The BROKKLY software runs on Windows and requires must be installed on your computer. When you install BROKKLY, select and configure the COM port and Kit types you are working with, the environment will be configured automatically. The Maker and SciTech examples are built in and are just a click away from opening up into the workspace, providing an easy access library of activities to practice with, Modify and learn from.

Activities

There is a wide range of activity suggestions for you to try with the Maker Pro or SciTech kits, from easy challenges to more creative and advanced ideas. When using a Maker Pro or SciTech kit, make sure to add the setup block at the beginning of your BROKKLY program and select the correct board type and port.

Note: Activities for these 2 kits are built into BROKKLY and can be accessed by selecting the kit you are using and accessing the specific example from the right-side pane.
